After ordering how long does it take before delivery ?

• Typically, UK delivery is less than four weeks. We are faster than any other online retailer or bridal shop because we design and manufacture our own dresses and are not at the mercy of manufactures or imports. There is, however, a dependency upon fabric availability. We will e-mail if there is any possible delay.

I'm planning my wedding well in advance. How do I know if these styles will not be discontinued ?

• The designs listed on this web site will not be discontinued. If there is a style you are interested in then please use our feedback form and state which dresses you are interested in and your wedding date. We will then reserve the style for you.

I want to pay in US$ dollars or in any non GBP £ currency.

• No problem. We bill your credit card in GB £ sterling. Your credit card company converts that amount into your home currency on the day you are billed. We don't make any extra charge on currency conversion. Your conversion rate will be fair, implemented for example by American Express.

Do Bridesmaids Direct ship to the USA ?

• Of course, we ship to the USA.
  When we use International ParcelForce delivery service we normal quote 5 days delivery time. It depends where in the States you are. The fastest for instance is New York. We can use DHL if a 2 day delivery time is needed. We are currently delivering well within three weeks from order which is far faster than just about any US designer/manufacturer.

Are there cheaper bridesmaid suppliers on the Internet?

• Maybe there are some sweatshop labour somewhere but all our garment are British made. 'Cheap' can work out more expensive if the dress is badly made and failing apart. We only use the finest silks and fabrics. Some large well known manufacturers say they are going to delivery their cheap dresses very quickly but often don't. They have to batch up your order with many others. Most bridesmaid dresses sold in the UK are made in the Far East and imported. Do you really think any cost saving is past to the customer? We maintain we are 50% below the standard retail price.

How close to the wedding do you take orders ?

• We like to have delivered four weeks before the wedding. Please try and make life easier by allowing plenty of time in case you need to have alterations done at your local dressmakers.

I have a picture of the exact dress I want. Can you make a similar design ?

• You are an honourable person who pays bills, taxes and wouldn't dream of stealing. Think carefully about this question: you are asking us to steal another designer's idea. If you have a picture of the dress you want then go to that designer/manufacturer and pay up. That is the only way to ensure you get exactly want has been expensively created and advertised. If it's out of your budget then you need to rethink.

How do you ensure precisely consistent colours for larger orders ?

• It is important for larger wedding parties to place the order in one go. This will ensure that the same fabric dye-lot is used. If you give us a partial order, and several days later the rest of the order, then we can't guarantee that the shade will be precisely the same for the two orders. Having your dresses made to order by us will ensure all the dresses have the same dye-lot and match exactly.

Does the fabric screen colour exactly match the fabric?

• Different monitors running different browser software will show minor colour variations. Every effort is made to ensure that the colour on the screen matches the fabric but if you are worried about this then please fill out the feedback form and request an example fabric swatch.

How do I colour match my accessories, shoes and groomswear ?

• Once the order is placed, we can supply you will a fabric sample swatch for you to colour match those important accessories.

What are the guide sizes for bridesmaids ? Are these dresses available in larger sizes ?

• We cater for sizes up to UK size 28 in most adult styles. We know it's often frustrating for larger ladies to go into a bridal shop and find a dress that they can try on. It's inevitable that all the nice samples are a size 12. Many of the samples on offer are not available over size 18. You might as well buy direct to save money and hassle.

Can I buy for a special occasion i.e. it doesn't have to be a wedding ?

• You don't have to be going to a wedding to buy these dresses, as they are designed to double-up as evening wear. There is no minimum order.

  Bridesmaids Direct proudly stands behind the garments that we design, make and sell. If the dress differs in any significant way from the style, fabric or size that you ordered then you can have a replacement at no extra charge or a complete refund. Simply return the item in its original condition for a full refund. Undertaking to deliver the size of dress ordered does not mean it is certain to fit - with no possibility of customer alterations being required. You need to contact us with 4 days of the goods being received otherwise no return can be accepted. Bridesmaids Direct will not accept returns on merchandise that has been altered or worn or where a customer wants a different style/size to the original order. When returning a purchase to Bridesmaids Direct please include the original invoice and address the package as follows:-

What are your payment methods ?

You have the safeguards that you can get your money back if your not happy and know that the issuing banks have checked that we are bona fide business before letting us accept cards mail order.
• We do also take GB £ sterling cheques and US$ cheques but there is a banking delay while we wait for the cheques to clear. Cheques are made payable to 'Bridesmaids Direct'.
• We don't charge your debit/credit card until the day your dresses are cut out.
